PURPOSE: There is increasing evidence that using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
decreases the incidence of clinically apparent prostate cancer. We review the potential
mechanisms of cancer reduction with cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 inhibitors and the clinical
